Hello my name is Beverley Arthur, and as long as I can remember I have always loved to paint. Having had an excellent art teacher at school, who was very supportive and encouraging, I soon discovered that this was where my heart lay. I was accepted at Portsmouth College of Art and Design at the age of 15, but unfortunately was unable to attend due to personal circumstances.

I have spent many years nurturing my family, and during this time have been extremely lucky to be able to develop my work through  local adult education as well as distance learning courses. I now find I have more time to dedicate to my art work and so with the help and support of my family I have been able to construct this web site, and look ahead for new challenges.

I have always been motivated and inspired by God's creation, especially wildlife, and have a passion for Africa. My favourite medium is Watercolour, it is so forgiving, exciting, vibrant, and does the most extraordinary things, which can sometimes add an amazing depth to the painting. I also find pastels a fantastic medium, very tactile and satisfying.
